Lisboa
Post-punk sung in Portuguese and pianos recorded at home: a Lisboa that sounds less touristy and more intimate.

What's happening?
While central Lisboa fills with tourists, the city's independent music retreats indoors. Many of the most interesting records of 2026 were recorded in apartments, with the building's noises left in.
Litoral Fantasma sings in Portuguese about a coast that no longer exists; Sala de Espera records short piano pieces with the windows open. Both speak, in different ways, about a city that is changing too fast.
The scene matters now because it turns gentrification into both subject and method: recording at home is also a way of refusing to leave it.
