Córdoba
Far from the capital, a patient psychedelia made in shared rehearsal rooms and in the hills around the city.

What's happening?
Córdoba has always been known as a city of cuarteto and universities. The new generation has made use of both: the rhythm and the free time. Colectivo Sótano shares one rehearsal room among six bands, and much of what is worth hearing today comes out of it.
Isla Interior stretches grooves for ten minutes; Sierra Baja records in the hills with charango and harmonium. They seem like opposites, but both treat time as raw material.
What is happening is a quiet decentralisation: bands from Córdoba no longer need to move to Buenos Aires to be heard.
